selling ads and stressing over deadlines are all
the daily tasks of the diverse students in Year-
book. Teamwork, patience, perserverenceand
optimism areal/ qualities necessary to survive in
this class. The dedicated yearbook staff of
2001 spent about 2,400 hours creating the first
and best Sword and Shield of the new millen-
nium. Mrs. Granfors, the advisor, says, "I have
never had a more organized or harder working
staff in 22 years of yearbook advising. Every
day section editors and the supervising editors
used fourth period ( and sometimes lunch) to put
together captions on layouts that would take
advantage of our computer technology. They
amazed me with theircreativiy and dedication.

The staff and Mrs. Granfors put their heads
together every day in search of creative and
innovative ideas for a unique, sophisticated
yearbook. Wasn't it all worth it?
