Years of
PARTNERSHIPS
City Counczl
From charting the course for ou r very first days of cityhood, to maintaining the
high quality of life those early decisions led to - our Santa Clarita City Council has
provided direction, policy and leadership. The 17 men and women who were chosen
by the community to lead us over the last 30 years have dedicated countless hours
and waged battles to protect our community, all while keeping an eye on creating a
strong, prosperous future for the City of Santa Clarita. Thank you to our honorable _
Mayor and City Council for all they have done, and continue to do for our City.
Public Sefety
They are the men and women who keep our City safe, whether it is
by stopping criminals and enforcing speed limits or knocking down
brush fires. Santa Clarita is consistently ranked as one of the safest
cities in the country thanks to the work they do.
Commissions
The commissions appointed by our City Council are responsible for
making recommendations on everything from land use and land
development, to parks and recreation, to deciding what elements
should be included in the Arts Master Plan.
Los Angeles County Board ofSupervisor
Kathryn Barger fifth District 7
Being that Santa Clarita is the third largest city in Los Angeles County and entirely
encompassed by unincorporated areas, the City has a valuable and vital partner in the
Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors 5th District Supervisor Kathryn Barger.
Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital
Established in 1975, and 12 years older than the City, our local hospital
provides top-notch care customized to our community. Henry Mayo
conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment every three years to
better understand residents' needs and assist with planning activities
and developing a community benefit plan to improve the health of the
locals it serves.
