Hart of the West: Phil Scorza reported on the progress of the Harvest Moon Daqce and requested
help with security for parking that night. Patti Rassmusen volunteered to arrange for high school
students to help with security. The Pit BBQ will cater and donate 10% to the Society. The Band
will begin playing at 7:00 pm.
Ann Kaulbach requested Board Members to sign up to volunteer at the event during the day.
Postcards: Phil Scorza reported that he had selected 12 old postcard photographs to be printed to sell
as postcards. After discussing the proposed prices for each company queried, it was decided to
investigate further for other prices, then moved to order the cards made for the best price available
after our funds have rebounded a little.

i -~ Docent Report: Pat Saletore reported that docent activities are continuing, including the Tea which
l l was a great success, grossing $655. Another tea is planned for December 7, hopefully in the Ranch

House. Photographs were passed around to the Board Members of recent historical site trips taken by
some of the docents.
Historian: It was noted that there seemed to be no historian collecting the press that comes out
relative to the Historical Society. Betty Evans said she had them. It was agreed to make it a board
position, but no action was taken.
At this point, Sue Yurosek presented an old quilt that had been donated and stored improperly. In the
process of cleaning for the tea, it was found. It had serious damage due to insects and rodents. Sue
suggested that we appoint someone to sort, record and preserve our collections. Laurene Weste
r,· McCarthy urged more participation, but no action was taken.
