u A. COMXITTEE MEETIJG: The Restoration Committee of the SCVHS 1neet on Sunday
September 14, 1997. The Chair reported on: 1) Board of Directors.'' Meeting <AUG
r1 9'1) - Funds approved for purchase of Newhall Ranch House Colored: Glass ($300),
Door Hardware ($300>, Stripping of Interior Woodwork ($800>, and Pardee House
i J Window Hardware {Sl25) - $1,525.00; lfo Olde Towne Oays in April; Donation of

$1000.00 received from Cheveron for Spring Pole Exhibit; Progrese, report and
plot plan presented for Blacksmith Shop; Location of donated fant equiptment
propossed near Blacksmith Shop; Pioneer Oil Refinery donated to City; and no
progress to report on "Chain-of-Title" research, $ecurity equipme 0:it for Edison,
Newhall and Pardee Houses, or insurance coverage for interior furnishings at
Kingsburry residence.

B. COIXITTEE PLAlBIJG: The following plans were discussed:
1) NEWHALL RUCH: Parch railing construction completed ar,d installed;
p Colored glass for door insets purchased and installed into front door; Door
tJ hardware purchased and installed; and Interior wood work strippei and returned.
2) SIT! DBVELOPXBIT: Footings for cinder block walls at Picnic Area
installed with steel re-bar and ready for cement pour (est. 5 yards); Footings
for Boardwalk posts excavated; RR ties cut to fit Picnic Area pads for paving
stones; Need for drainage pipe immediate!
3) PARDBB: Window hardware purchased/installed in all but. one window.
4) STATION: Front porch railings, landing and handicap ra:mp need major
repair and replacement of lumber.
4 > BLACKSXITII SHOP: Don Woelke :reported meeting of committee mal!lbers
set for September 15, 1997 to establish master plan and time lins for project
development,
5) NARROW GAUGE RR: Kevin O'Neill reported that obtaining, bids for the
sale of rails in progress; Report on project propossal as soon a.11. possible.
