                                                                                  term  of  the  "real  world"  is  not
                                                                                  just an  over used  phrase or MTV
                                                                                  show, it is the real deal.  After high
                                                                                  school or after college, whatever,
                                                                                  whenever,  people  decide  upon
                                                                                  their futures and  then  enter a life
                                                                                  of responsibility and maturity. One
                                                                                  day we  will  leave  the  comfort  of

                                                                                  school  and  be  required  to  apply
                                                                                  our  knowledge  to  real  life.  The
                                                                                  things we learn in  high school will
                                                                                  prepare us for this huge step and
                                                                                  the  activities  we  take  part  in  are
                                                                                  relevant  to  our  future  lives.  Job
                                                                                  shadowing requires juniors to step
                                                                                  into  the  shoes  of an  adult with  a
                                                                                  real  career  to  gain  experience
                                                                                  in  the  "real  world."  Classes  and
                                                                                  clubs, such as journalism, drama,

                                                                                  FBLA,  and  wildcat  TV,  prepare
                                                                                  students for their futures by giving
                                                                                  them  experience  in  these  areas.
                                                                                  When  we  arrive,  full-fledged  in
                                                                                    e  a  u  war  , w1  we  s         e
                                                                                  with  our  heads  held  high  or  will
                                               •
                                                                                  we turn away in fear? The answer
                                                                                  depends on  how we spend these

                                                                                  days -the days of our development
                                                                                         into mature individuals.
