Rancho Camulos

Penny postcard, design printed on supple leather, approx. 3½x5 inches. "Home of Ramona / So. California." Postmarked at Los Angeles, January 9, 1907.

Addressed to Miss H. Corinne Case of East Pembroke, Genesee County, New York.

Printed on back: "Made by Newman Post Card Co. / Los Angeles." Newman usually published printed halftone postcards of California scenes on paper card stock from 1907 until the 1960s when the company was acquired by H.S. Crocker. It was apparently related to the O. Newman Co. of Los Angeles and San Francisco (1904-1918).
