Not having seen it, we don't know exactly where in the Santa Clarita Valley this picture was filmed (it does exist), but airplane sequences could have been filmed at the
Newhall Intermediate Field, aka Saugus Airport, the location of which is in today's Valencia between the Granary Square shopping center and Railroad Avenue.
Most of the work was probably done at Trem Carr's movie ranch in Placerita Canyon (today's Disney Golden Oak Ranch), considering Carr was Monogram's vice president of production
at the time and Carr's entire team was involved. Paul Malvern, who used Placerita Canyon regularly, is producer of this picture; Robert N. Bradbury, who was making films in Placerita with Bob Steele and John
Wayne at the time, is director; Ernie Hickson, who built Carr's Placerita Canyon movie ranch, is technical director; Archie Stout is behind the camera.
Two years after this picture came out, Carr and Hickson moved their movie town down Placerita Canyon Road. After 1952 the new location was called Melody Ranch.
"Happy Landing" is written by Gordon Rigby (scenario) and Frances Hyland (dialogue) from a story by Stuart Anthony.
