The Auction
If this is your first auction, you're not alone. Auctioneering, one of the oldest forms of market-
ing in the world, is fast disappearing. But for this evening you will get to relive the atmosphere
of the thieves markets of times past as you get caught up in the excitement of the auctioneer's
bantering and the shouted bids from the excited crowd.
The auction will begin at 9:00 p.m., and will be conducted by a Master of Ceremonies who
will introduce each item to be called by a professional auctioneer. Both celebrities have donated
their time to assist us for the evening.
BIDDING
All bidding will be done in the banquet room of the Ranch House Inn, starting with item number
1 in this catalogue. All items will be auctioned in the order numbered in this catalogue. An
addendum sheet including additions and corrections will be presented to each guest at the
entrance. The prizes will be awarded to the highest bidder.
PAYMENT
It is requested that all prizes be paid for in full immediately after the bidding has been
completed at the cashier's table. The table will handle all cash, checks and receipts and will
give written confirmation of the prizes.
Payment of prizes may be deferred until May 31, 1972, but a minimum deposit of $20 or
20% of the purchase price, whichever is more, will be required. Such prizes will be held until
the full payment is made. Deposits are not refundable.
Item 38. Two Full Weeks Of Golf.
