A look at today's Music and Media seen
• •
The media, too, is spreading out. In what was once mostly just a "newspaper
world", we now have instant access to the world around us. With advances in
technology and more people turning to the internet, we now stand in a world
where cyberspace is right at our fingertips. The media of today have expanded
into so many different realms. What our generation grew up on is no longer what
the next generation is currently being raised with. Movies and television are almost
nothing now without special effects. Many movies are now going back to the basics,
however, thus leading to a more diverse form of media.
Which leads to the question, how much further can technology,
music, and media go before we head back into a complete circle? Is there
a limit to what we can and cannot do? How far are we from having all
access?
Music and Media=Our Future? .
How do you feel I about the current state of music, media and technology.
I. Heather Corcoran: "People are too reliant on technology today. It's getting kind of ridiculous."
2. Heather Hartman: "People are trying too hard to be the same now. Music has gotten totally
conformist." 3. Mark RozencwaJg: "I think that people should write their own music. I find it funny
how anyone can get a hit now, and these people didn't even write their own hit songs. Also, I don't
care about advancements in technology." 4. Dustin Halcon: "I don't like that question. It's a stupid
question." 5. Tiffany Mourl: "Music has certainly diversified over the past few years, and now I actually
save a lotta money thanks to technology, with CD burners and mp3s."
