        Organizational Impact: Anna’s continued efforts of fundraising for Our Lady Of Perpetual Help from events
        she hosts through The Italian Catholic Club of Santa Clarita raises thousands of dollars and has contributed
        to the eventual construction of a new parish. Anna dedicates her time and effort to folks at the Santa Clarita
        Senior Center in putting together events and trips with their enjoyment in mind. Anna is a long-time resident
        of the Santa Clarita Valley and her efforts towards fund-raisers aid people in need. Anna is a great supporter
        of small businesses and is a member of the SCV Chamber of Commerce. Anna prepares all of the food that is
        donated to the ICC booth at the annual OLPH Fiesta where proceeds go to the church. She works effortlessly
        cooking and preparing for the many ICC events put on at the OLPH Parish Hall where proceeds are given to
        the church. Anna’s leadership efforts in actively keeping ICC Board Members informed of new fundraising
        events.
        Biography: Anna came to the United States in 1955 and became a U.S. citizen in 1958. She graduated from
        high school in 1960, attended L.A.City College and Glendale College studying history and French and Ameri-
        can literature. In 1964, she married a sailor by the name of Doral Ray Riggs and had three children. While rais-
        ing her children, she worked in her printing business and obtained a real estate license. In addition, she found
        time to volunteer at various fund-raisers held by schools, churches, and various nonprofit organizations which
        she continues to present day.

        Organizational Impact: For the College of the Canyons Foundation, Doreen Shine stands out as one who
        puts her whole self into helping others better themselves and achieve their dreams. Doreen has made it her
        mission to provide the vision, energy, and resources to support the students and, more specifically, the artistic
        mission of the College of the Canyons and the School of Visual & Performing Arts. The College of the Can-
