        husband Bryan and married in 1981. The couple moved to Santa Clarita in 1982. It was not long before Laura
        began volunteering. Once her children were born, Laura found numerous ways to be involved in their education,
        volunteering at their schools and every sporting and youth activity they were involved in. For over 33 years,
        Laura has given countless hours of her time through her volunteer efforts and leadership in Santa Clarita. Laura
        Kirchhoff is currently the development manager for the American Diabetes Association, Greater Los Angeles
        Area. Through her fundraising efforts, Laura brought the first Diabetes Prevention Program for children to Santa
        Clarita. After serving as a volunteer, Laura became the director of Marketing and Special Events for the San-
        ta Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce, being named Chamber Ambassador of the year in 2009. Laura was
        a senior account executive with The Signal newspaper and held positions as a design manager at JPS Surface
        Solutions. Laura and Bryan have two children, Jeff and Amanda.

        Organizational Impact: Mitzi Like brings her energy, her dedication and commitment to Henry Mayo Newhall
        Hospital Foundation. In addition, Mitzi and the Like Family established, and continue to fund, a scholarship
        at COC to encourage students seeking a career in the insurance industry. Mitzi chooses a number of nonprofits
        each year for LBW to sponsor. The contributions total thousands of dollars for the SCV Senior Center, Henry
        Mayo Newhall Hospital, College of the Canyons, Single Mothers Outreach, Bridge to Home, Family Prom-
        ise, SNAP Sports, and more. Mitzi also fosters a culture at LBW which encourages staff to get involved in the
        community. This results in numerous members of the LBW staff dedicating work hours to nonprofit leadership.
        Since 2012, Mitzi and LBW have produced free seminars featuring attorneys, CPA’s, cyber security specialists
        and more to assist the nonprofit community.
        Biography: Mitzi Like is the president and CEO of LBW Insurance and Financial Services in Valencia. She has
        been a resident of the Santa Clarita Valley since 1980 and moved the business here in 2004. LBW is a family
        owned independent agency with six seven family members all working together under one roof. Mitzi’s in-
        volvement with the Santa Clarita Valley community dates back to the 1980s when she began lending her time
        and leadership to Congregation Beth Shalom. The San Fernando Valley Business Journal has recognized Mitzi
        as a “Business Woman of the Decade” and a top “Trusted Advisor,” and recognized LBW as a “Best Place to
        Work” and one of the “Fastest Growing Companies” in the region. She is a member of the National Associa-
        tion of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), ProVisors, the National Alliance for Insurance Education, and the
        Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of California. When not in the office, Mitzi is likely to be found in
        the second row at a Los Angeles Kings game, out on a golf course, or hugging her grandchildren. She lives in
        Valencia with husband Randy and also enjoys traveling and spending time at their retreat in La Quinta.
