yons Foundation is extremely grateful for Doreen’s leadership and passion for this important work. Helping to
relaunch fundraising efforts for the School of the Visual & Performing Arts, Doreen became chair of the Patrons
of the Arts in 2015. Doreen has championed an aggressive membership campaign and advocated for additional
resources for students. Under her guidance, the COC Foundation worked with the college district to earn the
prestigious “Steinway School” distinction. Through Doreen’s leadership, the Patrons have supported public art
projects including the building “wrap” of the COC Art Gallery, the innovative “Street Piano Project,” and multi-
        ple art installations.
Biography: Doreen was licensed as a Realtor in 1994 and soon after partnered with Nancy Starczyk. She was
president of the SCV Division of Southland Regional Association of Relators in 2004 and 2008. She also served
as the regional director of the Southland Association of Realtors for two years and became involved within
multiple committees and areas of leadership within the organization. Doreen climbed the ranks as one of the
most respected realtors in the Southern California region and was given the prestigious Southland Association
of Realtors “Member of the Year” award in 2006. Doreen was instrumental in her support of the Habitat for
Humanity San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys, helping to develop the process and criteria for selecting fam-
ilies to be included in the veterans housing program. Sheunderstood the needs of the at-risk population and how
to work with them for the best outcome. Doreen also chaired planning committees for multiple Los Angeles
Builders Ball events. The Child & Family Center has also been a source of Doreen’s support over the years. She
served as a board member for four years and chaired the Taste of the Town event in 2017.
