Whites Canyon Road

August 14, 1979 — Aerial Photo by Tom Mason, vice president of the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society. Color transparency, 35mm, Canon F-1 camera.

Whites Canyon Road prior to the Whites Canyon Bridge (built nearly a decade later in 1988). The view is to the north. Sierra Vista Junior High School is at center-left. Canyon High School is at top.

Prior to the development of North Oaks in the early 1960s, Whites Canyon Road used to dead-end at the landing strip of the 6-S Ranch Airpark, at what is now Pleasantdale Street.
