Ivan Dorset
Henry Ivan Dorset was 18 years old in March 1928 when the mighty St. Francis Dam crumbled,
to the peril of at least 450 people in the floodpath from Saugus to the sea.
Included in the death rolls were Lyman Curtis, husband of Ivan's sister Lillian, and their
two little girls. In this special episode, Ivan tells his very personal
tale of what the history texts call "America's worst civil engineering failure of the
20th Century."
