Switch Tie Plate from Saugus

Southern Pacific Railroad

Southern Pacific Railroad switch tie plate from Saugus. (Like a regular railroad tie plate, but for a switch, for switching track.)

Unearthed and recovered circa 2017 by the contractor (Rick Kalisz of Happy Valley) during demolition of Pueblo Building Supply at the northwest corner of Railroad Avenue and Oak Ridge Drive, which is just south of the Saugus Industrial Center (former Thatcher Glass complex), which is just south of the original location of the SPRR Saugus Depot.
