Unidentified man at Saugus Junction, 1926. The view is to the north. (The man is looking south.) Wood's Garage and the Saugus Cafe are at the photographer's back.
Today Saugus Junction is known simply as the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and Magic Mountain Parkway.
Running off to the left (west) are the Southern Pacific Railroad's 1887 Saugus spur line and the Saugus-Ventura Road (Highway 126; now Magic Moutain Parkway). Bouquet Canyon Road runs straight ahead (north) at right.

To the south, Newhall was 2 miles, San Fernando 12 miles and downtown Los Angeles 34 miles.
Harry Carey's Trading Post, a tourist attraction, was 4 miles to the north. It wouldn't have been advertised two years later because it was wiped out in the
St. Francis Dam Disaster.
"Look Out for the Cars" isn't a warning to the train engineer. It's a warning to motorists to look out for the train cars.
